Bio
Alkistis Voulgari was born in Athens. She is an actress and dancer specialized on Isadora Duncan's Dance Technique. The last two years she started her own filming experimentations and performance creations which contain Theatre, Poetry, Literature, Dance, Isadora's choreographies as well as personal choreographies. Her latest live performance, "Travel through Time", was presented at Compartments Dance Festival on September of 2019. The experimental short film "Dancing in the Silence” from the "TERRACE PROJECT" - 2020 was hosted at Bibart’s Biennale Internazionale D’ Arte di Bari and since then the films of the project are travelling in several international film festivals (United States, Greece, Prague, Italy etc.) At the moment she is collaborating with The Museum of Dead Words in Brooklyn / NY - the Online Series, interpreting the word EVIL through the performance " The Fight Within " .
She works in the film industry since 2006 starting from BBC History Channel, playing Manto Mavrogenous (a great heroine from Mykonos) and Venus of Urbino in "El Greco" film directed by Giannis Smaragdis. In 2008 she was the leading character of the first greek webseries called "Dikiasou.com"(made by Anosi) and then became a member of "Cultoura", a group of new cinematographers who were experimenting on short films. She played also in TV series leading and supporting roles.
Τheatre holds a significant part in her life, starting playing on stage since 14 years old. She met many exceptional teachers and co - artists who helped her to deepen her way of expression and experiment on different schools of Art, theatrical genres and dramaturgy. Indicatively, some of the plays that she appeared on stage within, are : Moliere's "The Miser" (Elise), Lorca's "Perliblin and Belisa" (Belisa), Wright's "Vincent in Brixton" (Εugenie), Mishima's "Hanjo" (Hanako), Akutagawa's "Rashomon" (Woman). She is an official member of CID (International Council of Dance - Unesco) since 2018 and also a writer having published her own e – books on the web.

Η Άλκηστις Βούλγαρη γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα. Είναι ηθοποιός και χορεύτρια με ειδίκευση στο Χορό της Ισιδώρας Ντάνκαν.Τα δύο τελευταία χρόνια ξεκίνησε τον προσωπικό της δρόμο δημιουργίας συνθέτοντας site - specific performances και μικροφίλμ με τα υλικά της Ποίησης, του Θεάτρου, της Λογοτεχνίας, του Χορού και - κυρίως - της Ζωής. Η τελευταία της ζωντανή performance είναι το "Tαξίδι στο Χρόνο", μία σύνθεση χορογραφιών της Iσιδώρας Ντάνκαν, την οποία παρουσίασε στο Φεστιβάλ Σύγχρονου Χορού που έλαβε χώρα στο Τρένο στο Ρουφ. Το πειραματικό φιλμ μικρού μήκους "Χορεύοντας με τη Σιωπή " από το "ΤERRACE PROJECT" - 2020 φιλοξενήθηκε στη Διεθνή Μπιενάλλε του Μπάρι στην Ιταλία που έλαβε χώρα στη Santa Teresa dei Maschi . Έκτοτε τα μικροφίλμ του συγκεκριμένου project ταξιδεύουν σε διεθνή φεστιβάλ στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό (Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, Πράγα, Ιταλία κλπ.) Από το φθινόπωρο του 2020 συνεργάζεται διαδικτυακά με το Museum of Dead Words στη Νέα Υόρκη σε μία σειρά ζωντανών επεισοδίων ερμηνεύοντας το ρόλο του "Κακού" με την performance "The Fight Within".
Αποφοίτησε από το "Νέο Ελληνικό Θέατρο" του Γ. Αρμένη και το 2006 ξεκίνησε την επαγγελματική της σταδιοδρομία με το ντοκιμαντέρ του ΒΒC "Mykonos Vibes" όπου υποδύθηκε τη Μαντώ Μαυρογένους. Το 2007 συμμετείχε στον "Εl Greco" του Γ. Σμαραγδή ως Αφροδίτη του Ουρμπίνο ενώ το 2008 ήταν η leader persona στο webseries "dikiasou.com" από την Άνωση. Ακολούθησε ο "Γιούκερμαν" σε σκηνοθεσία Γ. Καραντινάκη, η "Ζωή της Άλλης" σε σκηνοθεσία Δ. Αρβανίτη καθώς και πειραματικές δουλειές με την ομάδα "Cultoura".
Η θεατρική της πορεία ξεκίνησε το 2005 από το Aνοιχτό Θέατρο του Γ. Μιχαηλίδη ο οποίος υπήρξε πολύτιμος δάσκαλος της σε ό,τι αφορά την τέχνη του Θεάτρου. Ωστόσο η αγάπη της για το Θέατρο έγινε πράξη από τα 14 της χρόνια με τις "Τρωάδες" του Ευριπίδη σε σκηνοθεσία Δ.Κωτσή. Στη συνέχεια έπαιξε σε θεατρικά έργα όπως : "Φιλάργυρος" του Μολιέρου (θέατρο Δανδουλάκη) σε σκηνοθεσία Τ. Ζαχαριουδάκη, "Ερωτευμένη με τον Βαν Γκογκ" του N.Wright σε σκηνοθεσία Α. Θωμόπουλου (θέατρο Καρέζη) , "Το Φιόρο του Λεβάντε" του Ξενόπουλου σε σκηνοθεσία Κ. Τσιάνου (θέατρο Άνεσις), "Περλιμπλίν και Μπελίσα" του Λόρκα σε σκηνοθεσία Ι. Κλειδέρη ( Χώρος Τέχνης Ασωμάτων),"Μαρκησία Ντε Σαντ" και "Hanjo" του Y. Mishima σε σκηνοθεσία Ζ. Πατεράκη (θέατρο Αργώ , θέατρο Χυτήριο ), "Φαινόμενο Ρασομόν" του R. Akutagawa σε σκηνοθεσία Α. Παπαστάθη (θέατρο Ραντάρ).
Έχει παρακολουθήσει μαθήματα κλασικού τραγουδιού με τον Σταμάτη Μπερή στο Εθνικό Ωδείο και παραδοσιακού με τον Γιώργο Παπαδάκη σε κλίμα αυθεντικού Καφωδείου. Από το 2018 είναι μέλος του CID (International Dance Council - Unesco). Έχει χορέψει με την ομάδα ''Les Pleiades" της F.Courmont στο θέατρο της Δόρας Στράτου και στο Κέντρο Ντάνκαν στην παράσταση "Demeter : The awakening of the Earth" ενώ διδάχτηκε την τεχνική της Ισιδώρας Ντάνκαν από τις Barbara Kane, Francoise Rageau και Lori Belilove. Γράφει ποίηση, παραμύθια, σκέψεις, σενάρια και δοκίμια και ασκείται καθημερινώς στον αυτοσχεδιασμό της Ζωής, - ό,τι κι αν αυτό σημαίνει.
